I remember watching the first episode of Joshikosei GIRLS HIGH and thinking it was totally lame. But also thinking it was kind of funny. I never continued watching the anime, but I did get a crapload of the manga to review!

Way back when my blog was first starting, Shakugan no Shana was my first anime impressions post. Whoa! Today I’m reviewing the first DVD of Shakugan no Shana. It’s pretty crazy seeing how far Basugasubakuhatsu’s come since then.
Originally, I took a look at the trailer for Afro Samurai and wrote it off as some lame ripoff masquerading as anime. Plus I didn’t have Spike TV, so I couldn’t just watch it on cable. I finally got the DVD, and had a chance to give the DVD a fair review. So how’d it turn out?
I just noticed that each cover of Nodame Cantabile has Nodame playing a different instrument. Volume 4 has her playing a flute. I don’t think it suits her, though. She should stick to weird instruments like the vibraslap and the theremin. She’ll probably start pulling out the obscure instruments once the manga hits volume 40 or so…
My Heavenly Hockey Club is like one part Ouran High School Host Club, and one part Mighty Ducks. Except in this version of the Mighty Ducks, the team sucks hard and never gets better (or even has a game)…
Typically, a cipher is a way to encrypt information for security purposes. My favorite is the Caesar Cipher, since it’s so easy to break. But in the context of manga, Cipher is actually this dude who gets yaoi with his twin brother… I prefer the former…
