So my huge ass anime order from RightStuf came in a few days ago. I decided to watch Haibane Renmei first, since it seemed the most interesting.

Published September 19th, 2006 in Manga and Review. 1 CommentOsamu Tezuka is known for being the “father of manga.” He’s famous for creating manga such as Astro Boy and Ribon no Kishi. One of his lesser known works, however, is a manga about the life of Buddha.
Another one of the manga that I got from Broccoli Books was “Kamui.” I seem to have procured quite a bit of manga (and a backlog!), so I thought that I better start reading! Here’s my review of Kamui Volume 1.

Star Blazers is a totally retro anime that was known in Japan as “Space Battleship Yamato.” It’s considered a classic anime and therefore, a must watch! But does the “classic” label mean it’s too old to be compared to current anime?
I recently had a chance to check out the Star Blazers Series 1 DVD Collection. Here’s my review of Disc 1 (Episodes 1-5).
