So I watched the 3rd DVD of the Cromartie High School anime. For some reason, it’s a lot easier for me to sit through one of these than say, Kino’s Journey. I guess that means I have a short attention span. HEY, LET’S RIDE BIKES!
So there’s more hit or miss comedy in this volume of Cromartie. Seriously, the whole Mechazawa as a motorcycle thing is getting old. Especially those music montages where they just re-use the old footage from past episodes. Maybe they meant it to be intentionally cheesy? It still wasn’t that amusing to me.
But there was a lot of funny stuff too. Like how that delinquent from that other school actually happens to be a polite guy on the internet (and types while he speaks, even when he’s making the (^-^) faces). Oh, and the whole alien thing was awesome, especially when they abducted Freddie.
So yeah, the humor is good when it’s funny, and sleep-inducing when it’s not. But each episode is only like 10 minutes anyway, which is why I can handle watching a DVD at a time. Cromartie is still an interesting anime, even though it flops sometimes.
I bought the DVDs seperately, but if you’re gonna buy it, it would probably make more sense to just get the thinpack in one go.
