Noein starts off with an epic battle between a giant anthropomorphic spaceship and some bungie jumping humans from the future! The rest of the episode takes place in the present day. The Anidb description for this anime is totally cryptic, but here’s what I got:

Haruka, the herioine of this anime, posseses the “Dragon Torque.” I guess the Dragon Torque is the deciding factor in the future war. Yuu is Haruka’s friend and classmate. He hates his life (it probably has something to do with going to cram school 24/7). Yuu is also the kickass dude with white hair from the future! By the end of this episode, Future Yuu is in a showdown with present day Yuu and Haruka. Yes, this series is very confusing. The problem is, it also feels really generic.

I’m really getting mixed messages from the design and animation departments of this anime. On one hand, the animation during the battle sequences is top notch. It kind of reminds me of those black and white animated gifs you might find on 4chan. On the other hand, the designs of the characters themselves are kind of grotesque. The main character, Haruka, is alright, but the other characters are really odd looking. The anime does have sort of this gritty style, though, so I guess the character designs fit it.

Another thing I have a problem with, (and this is a problem I generally have with other anime as well) is the gratuitous use of CG combined
with regular animation. If it’s done well, I can handle it, but most times, the CG really takes away from the style. That’s the case in this anime as well.

The OP was left out of this first episode, and the ED seemed kinda blah. There wasn’t really anything that caught my ear.

Generally, I can probably say with confidence that I’m undecided on this anime series. The battle animation scenes are awesome, but the CG is distracting. The characters are pretty ugly, and the quality differs from scene to scene. The story is totally confusing right now, but it has potential to be interesting. I might watch the next episode or two of Noein, but for now, the outlook is not so good for this one.

Karasu is certainly not a kick-ass dude! grrr…arrrgh
I simply adore the unspoken chemistry b/w Karasu n Haruka, ’tis alvez so saddening to c true lovers crave 4 each other n yet find it so difficult to be together due to worldy circumstances.

Hats off to the creators of this fantastic anime. The concept of quantum theory applied on macroscopic beings is highly intriguing.
Even the fact that a person can interact with their past as well as future at the same time is incredible n exhilarating!

Who doesn’t want to have a time-space warp mechanism after all???

Noien… Hmm.
Actually, I found tis anmime by accident while viewing a 30stm video on facebook. Had no idea that this would be the best anime I’d had seen since Dragon Ball Z (I don’t watch naruto).
I also find it interesing that quantum theory is being applied in this setting. It makes me feel smart that I understand..YAY!

The characters are not exactly loveable, but they stick you you some how..

Well, I will say that in the course of 4 days, I am on episode 13 and still excited for what is to come.

GREAT ANIME!

I bought this collection on sale.
I’m on episode 21. Thus far I dig it.
While it is not as polished as I’d like it to be on the character side its not bad. I think that the characters are pretty likable as far as young kids go. The battles scenes are great. As far as the CGI went… It didn’t bother me at all. I thought it was well done.
