Reviews:

Idol Master:
Despite it's crap game origins, It's suprisingly decent. It's silly & fun to watch. The 'Idols' in question are actually Artificially intellegent Mecha, the 'Master' refers to the the girls, who act as partners/pilots. It's got a vague Evangelion VS Stelvia feel to it. Thankfully no aliens or lame quasi-religious angst. Although there is a girl in a penguin suit, ninja gothic lolitas, impending meteorites, and an as of yet unnamed evil organisation complete with scary mecha. Worth the download.

Claymore:
While pretty generic, is also extremely addictive, much in the way that shows like 'Berserk' are largely guilty pleasures (i.e: it's Superbly gory and hyper violent). The claymore in question isn't the sword, but the girl, who is half human, half demon. Lots of Steely eyed, emotionless grit, with heaps of impalement, head chopping, & disembowment. The Male sub-character is largely annoying, and 2 dimensional. Above average animation(which seems to decrease after the first 2 eps :p). Worth the download if you enjoyed berserk or Hellsing, otherwise skip it.

You couldn’t be more wrong, Claymore is shounen?

Well, since Claymore is a Shonen Jump manga, the answer is yes.

I'm looking forward to Claymore, especially since it is Madhouse who will be doing it( they have a great track record of animating Manga). Not to be overly harsh, Hung, but you really should at least do SOME research before you dismiss a series so casually. If anything, it would prevent foot-in-mouth syndrome( and avoid damage to your creditability as a reviewer).

Go check out the Claymore manga. You may or may not like it, but at least you will have a better idea of what Claymore is all about.

Cheers.

Xenoglossia doesn't really have anything to do with pop idols - the only thing they've taken from the games are the characters (which have been tweaked anyway). Think My-HiME meets Armageddon and thats pretty much what you are likely to be getting. Really, it's just a stereotypical modern Sunrise show which happens to take most of its cast members from a game. If you like HiME, ZHiME or, to a lesser extent, Code Geass you'll probably end up liking this as it'll be much the same kind of thing.

I'm looking forward to Darker than Black, but by the same token that means I'm being careful not to get my hopes up, because the shows that I think look the best beforehand always end up being the ones I like least.
