I’ve been interested in this manga ever since Mekakushi ended, so thanks for the review. If it’s not prying too much, how did you come by CMX providing a review copy?

Penguin Revolution didn’t strike me as that interesting in the first volume.. cute, but revolutionary? Perhaps not. However, this is the same author of Mekakushi no Kuni (brought over here as Land of the Blindfolded), which IMO started off cliched and turned into quite possibly one of the most ADORABLE SERIES EVER. Seriously. And it was really, really sweet, in a wonderful and not saccharinely way.

Thus I’ll stick with PR just on the bases of Mekakushi, so.

Do you mean that Penguin Revolution is crappy? It’s sorta cliche, I’ll admit, but it wasn’t bad. Yukari is freakin’ cute!

Sure, if they hadn’t sent me the copy I would’ve never reviewed it. But I’m happy to be exposed to stuff that I normally wouldn’t be exposed to.

Plus the manga I would buy myself to review is probably the over hyped stuff anyway…

Oh, now I understand why people tend to review (relatively) crappy manga. There are way too many gems untouched.
