Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge - Anime First Impressions

So Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, aka Perfect Girl Evolution, aka The Wallflower, is that one anime that’s sorta like She’s All That. Or at least, that’s what I figured it would be. Usually making ugly girls into hot babes consists of one step in movies: take off their glasses. But is it really that easy in anime?

Four high school guys are allowed to stay at a way swanky mansion for free. The catch is that they must transform the owner’s niece into a respectable woman. If they fail, they must pay 3x the cost of rent! They take their mission before the owner lady flies into the sunset on a helicopter ladder.

When Sunako actually arrives, the guys realize their task won’t be easy. She looks like the girl from Ringu, except maybe even scarier. Apparently she was rejected by a guy 2 years ago and gave up on looking pretty. She sits around watching scary movies all day in a darkened room. She’s also kind of a jerk to the guys.

After the four guys tell her they’re only being nice to get free rent, Sunako decides to run away! People mistake her for a ghost, and chase her down like Frankenstein’s monster! It sure is difficult being ugly in Japan… Luckily, Kyohei rescues her from the mob and brings her back to the mansion. Apparently, Sunako is a really good cook, so they all end up being friends!

Actually, they guys demand that Sunako show her face, so Kyohei pins her down and… let’s just say this looks more inappropriate than it actually turned out to be. When her face is revealed, Sunako’s actually really hot! Oh wait, no. She’s super ugly. Yeah, the guys have some heavy duty work to do…

So for now the story seems somewhat interesting. Sunako is actually ugly, and not just a quick fix. It appears that there’ll be some romance involved, since Sunako got a major nosebleed from seeing the four guys. Also, once she becomes hot, Sunako will probably be able to choose whichever guy she wants. That is, if the plot is as easy to predict as I think.

The character designs are all too bishie for me. When I did the preview for this anime, I thought they were all girls… I do like the use of SD though. The part where the girls in the cafe all had nosebleeds was awesome in a gross/cute kind of way.

The OP and ED are both done by Kiyoharu. They both sound a little too “shoujo anime” for me, but they’re not so bad that I’ll skip over them. I also thought it was kind of cheap of them to reuse actual episode animation in the opening credits. Hopefully they’ll have an original one next time.

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge isn’t the most original anime, but at least it’s not an h-game conversion or generic shounen show. The comedy parts were sorta sparse, but they were funny when they happened. I’ll keep watching this anime since the director is Nabeshin, and I believe in him.

The first volume of this manga (totally random purchase at a con) is one of the worst things I own.

  2. 2 Gerid Oct 13th, 2006 at 6:03 pm

I have never liked the manga, even if a lot of persons I know are big fans of it… the main girl is too weak (common… getting THAT depressed over a boy ever since 2 YEARS ago…) the bishies personalities are too generic (If you ever thought Ouran had generic personalities, then you haven’t read it up to volume 7 or haven’t seen this manga/anime) and unimportant for the story (if there is some kind of story going every so or then…)

[SPOILER]actually, the only one who will develop “some kind” (VERY small) of interest for her is Kyouhei… and Sunako gets nosebleeds at any bishie, not only at those she is interested…[/SPOILER]

Well I liked it alot, the knife scene made me laugh harder than any show I have yet seen this season. Comparatively they used more SD than the manga so the bishi assulat is some what less in this respect thus far. Since this season appears to be fraught with game/visual novel adaptations I think this sort of comedy is a welcome change.

I have been a fan of the manga for quite some time now (the series is already beyond volume 16, and so far no indication of an ending), and I must say it is one of my favorite titles in years (along with fruits basket, karekano, Count Cain, angel sanctuary, Hellsing and more). I am surprised that many found no interest in the theme, since in relation to other mainstream manga, it’s very unique, with hilarious dialogues and beautiful drawing…
But this is as far the manga version is concerned..i did expect more effort for the anime version though. Starting from the opening theme, to the annoying shrieking voice of Sunako, to the animation of the characters itself, that has almost nothing to do with the nicely detailed character drawing in the manga. Assuming that one’s first contact with the theme and story of yamato nadeshiko is through the anime, it can be a very negative one, sadly…The anime does the manga great injustice, i hope they put more effort in presenting the storyline fairly at least in the upcoming episodes. Still, since the story is so genuine and funny, and this has been passed to the anime version quite faithfully up to now, it is a great laugh and very entertaining. And that makes it a big hit for this season.

I watched the first episode recently…then the second…then the third, well that’s where it’s up to, and I LOVED IT and it made me smile the whole day! There are animes that are funny but they make you giggle. This one had so many LOL moments just in one episode. I showed it to my sister who normally thinks anime is a waste of time and said ‘I WANT MORE!’

Sunako is by far the most interesting anime female I’ve seen this season and is NOT weak. The dudes seem pretty interesting lthough a little generic and I love the Aunt, hope she’s i more episodes.

I haven’t read the manga yet and it seems people who have are disapointed with the adaption. If the first episode is this good then how good is the manga? I’d like to find out.

The only thing that bothers me about this is that the designs for the bishies look really androgenous and the lips need some time to get used to. The animation isn’t STUNNING but is above average and within all that humour you don’t really care about the animation…though it would be a great extra.

This really is the best comedy anime this season.

i’ve seen up to the fourth episode so far
    and in opinion
i think its really funny actually
    hhahah
seriously when i saw the first episode it made me laugh soo much when she was holding the knife.
and the fact that she wanted her grave to be next to “JASON” also was really hilarious.

    OVERALL–
i think its a really funny anime. The manga is fun too (if you like reading, i recommend it)
    REALLY REALLY FUNNY

soo.. YOU SHOULD WATCH IT haha

i just finished the 4th episode and although the anime is not as good as the manga, it’s pretty hilarious! the first episode made me really want to read the manga so i’ve read up to volume 10 (i can only read english)! in ep. 1 i kept going back to the knife chopping part as well! i don’t usually LOL at anime but that time i just cracked up!! you just can’t get the same entertainment in a manga :)
i like seeing the differences in the anime and manga. some small differences, but so far, pretty good!

    waiting for more!

  8. 8 aliisa Nov 4th, 2006 at 8:32 am

I have to say I’m happy that this manga was made into an anime. Having not seen the anime yet,but seeing a few of the screenshots here, I’m a bit dispointed with only the way the guys look Kyohei,Ranmaru,Takenaga, and Yuki, that is. It needs a little work. Sunako, on the other hand (with everyone else, including those crazy girls that show up wanting to date the guys)is just the way she is in the manga. I love this manga and am waiting to read 10 in english, I cant read japenese. I think 10 comes out on the 26th of this month. Its a great story, funny, a little, deep, and amazing artwork all the way down to the chibi sunako and short stories by the mangaka, Tomoko Hayakawa.
I recomend the manga to anyone who likes the Anime, most likely you’ll like the manga better…and to anyone who appreciates humor and art, with a shot of morbid moments. Oh, and of course to those who love manga. It’s one of my favorites. Maybe soon one of yours too. ^^

    I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!

  12. 12 Doe Johnson Dec 29th, 2006 at 8:32 pm

I really like the show. Oddly enough, I find I like the anime better than the manga. Usually I’m the other way around. The manga seemed too typical to me for some reason. While with the anime, I really liked how they brought out the horror aspect of it. And well, you gotta love that dancing Hiroshi-kun! :P Anywho, I liked both, but the anime was slightly more appealing to me.

  13. 13 Ai Dec 30th, 2006 at 1:20 pm

When I first saw it, it was kind of bland and awkward.

But then when I started to watch more episodes –

    I got hooked.

Seriously, this anime isn’t as bad as some people think. I thought the guys were actually girls too, with the plump lips and shiny eyes, but you start to get used to their girly appeal and enjoy the plot more.

    Definitely worth watching.

    haha. -goth-goth-loli-loli!!

  14. 14 katz Jan 14th, 2007 at 5:41 am

Are you guyz kidding, this is the best… well, one of the best, anime shows out there. i hate it that the present internet connection isn’t good and that there is still no subbed ep 13. i am really really anxious now..

  17. 17 Fuji-Oda Jan 16th, 2007 at 7:23 pm

It has been a while since I had sat down and decided to watch anime. To me, nowadays there are too many shows that end up being annoying and cliched. Maybe I have not searched hard enough, but the ones that usually are popular are the ones that tend to give me a headache. I was very surprised to read that some people dumped their negative opinions on an anime that is pretty good. Heck! This is not even a genre of anime I would watch, but I could not resist a group of beautiful males… trying to get a deeply depressed girl into a beautiful lady JUST for rent money. (Lmao). In some ways, it reminds me of females out there that were rejected by a male and go into a mode of self-hate. If only they were able to be scooped up by four gorgeous males and shown a time of their life! If the anime is this appealing to me, then I bet I’d be in love with the manga. (Such a shame money is hard to come by today.) =( Ahh, I can not wait for episode 13 to be dubbed and released. ^__^

-Fuji’s 1/2 cents. (I’d say two cents, but I need the extra cent and a half)

  18. 18 Precious Feb 7th, 2007 at 12:31 am

i love this anime! Thogh, I sometimes think the graphics/drawings are a little off and somewhat cheap looking. Besides that I had to get used to looking at beautiful girly men, but that’s the point right? For them to be beautiful, and for a man to be beautiful he has to be feminine looking! I love Sunako with Kyouhei, they are such an oddball couple that they just might work. But I’m glad they haven’t really stuffed them together right away. I found this anime by chance. I was on youtube for the first time and was just searching, when I went to a person’s ‘web’ site and clicked on an anime picture. Lo and behold, this anime came on, it was the second ep, it was subbed and I fell in love. I’ve watched up to ep. 14 and I can’t wait for more! Almost makes me want to learn Japanese!! lol
    -p-

  19. 19 Pikadili Feb 8th, 2007 at 1:38 pm

I LOVE this anime it is sooo worth watching! i am about episode 14 and still adore it! it’s really funny, laugh out loud funny, a really gd watch well worth your time. at the beggining the full lips kinda annoyed me but i dont mind anymore! a must watch in my opinion ^_^

  20. 20 Pikadili Feb 8th, 2007 at 1:42 pm

o and to add one thing for episode 14 they changed the OP and ED ( not the songs) this really annoyed me i liked the old ones!!! o well at least they are all nude this time! ^_^

  21. 21 Kenn Feb 19th, 2007 at 9:46 pm

I really like this series, as it adds a bit more comedy to my anime line up ( consisting of Ghost Hunt [drama/horror/mystery], Code Geass [mecha/war], Sumomo mo momo [comedy], Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou [idk..] and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge [such a long tite =_=])
As mentioned, at first, the character design was really different from anime series i normally watch (excluding the transition from Gundam Wing to Gundam Seed, and Tsubasa to Code Geass) but after about a few episodes of laughing, you get used to it. the SD character design sometimes gets aggravating though, since you [hardly] ever see Sunako’s full form [she's not THAT bad]. 8D my thoughts.

  22. 22 Sunako's Incarnate Feb 24th, 2007 at 10:41 pm

I have seen only part of the anime, but what I saw was very faithful to the book! And I have read to volume 9 of this wonderful series and am absolutely in love with it. To any Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge haters out there, you really don’t know what you’re missing. And to anyone who thinks the plot is ridiculous, it really isn’t. I can’t tell you the times I sank into my own pit of darkness and depression because a guy rejected me. It’s a true fact that this happens. So give this series another chance and try to understand Sunako-chan. She’s one of the most kick-ass characters of our time!

  23. 23 saya Mar 22nd, 2007 at 12:05 pm

I really like the anime actually, though not as good as the manga (It misses alot of things out) it’s still pretty good. I actually find PGE to be a more unique shoujo, as i think the characters aren’t very generic and the story is a bit unusual.

Ps. thanks for the download of “slow” : D

  24. 24 Diya Apr 5th, 2007 at 7:34 pm

goth goth loli loli! hahahahaha! tht stuff is funny… im on ep 19 right now…. cant find n e more subbed eps… waitin for em! its a funny show. a lil typical tho, but definitely different…. am i making any sense? lolz, definitely worth watchin!

  25. 25 Sachiko Apr 6th, 2007 at 2:11 am

Personally I find Sunako-chan a /very/ nice change of character… She fits out of the typical female gender role, and she’s /strong/.

  26. 26 Sheshira Apr 15th, 2007 at 1:12 pm

I find that Sunako represents the girl that lies within in all of us. Many of us have all faced rejection and be mindful that as a manga/anime it may be have been exaggerated form of this truth. Yes two years might be extremely exaggerated for some but for others it can be very much an occurrence that did happen in their life. The key aspect to realize is the state that Sunako was in before even having the courage to reveal her feelings to the guy. Also keep in mind that with infatuations, the other person is often put on such a high pedestal that their remarks are something that is taken more seriously and more of a truth. Yet we see that while Sunako is very much a weakling in that aspect, her shutting off the world and surmising that because she’s ugly she doesn’t have to worry about how she looks because it’d be pointless sort of helped her develop herself in other areas. Yes some of it was a bit odd and strange but I honestly believe that during during the anime we learn that ladies are not allowed to like the horror genre so in a way her feeling she is ugly in actuality liberated her to liking things that her former “lady-like” wouldn’t have out of fear of not conforming etc.

As for the other characters they do fill their generic quota of hot boys, crazy aunts, crazy fangirls etc. Though I do giggle at “Goth-Goth-Loli-Loli” because those girls are tremendously obsessed and tremendously funny!

Regarding the anime and manga, yes I will relent that the characters are generic enough however there are enough quirks to compensate for the lack of detail in the anime. However I suspect that the anime choices done in the show was a combination of laziness (there is no other word for it) and the fact that it had to fit the manga and the way Sunako often appears in the chibi form. In that, a chibi Sunako would appear out of place in a detailed world imho. Though I think the main issue I have is that they could have invested more time in the background work and simply added more texture and life to the coloring of the show.

The message of the show is actually one that reminds me of Nobuta Wo Produce in that we see that while like a typical “My Fair Lady” concept it goes beyond that and shows that the “beautiful people” have their own issues as well, as well as their own quirks. I think that yes the anime and manga could use some improvement however this message alone does make it refreshing enough where it does make up for its (minor) flaws.

This anime does serve the purpose of making one giggle and have comfortably brain-fart-free time.

  27. 27 Sunako's Incarnate Apr 15th, 2007 at 10:20 pm

Having watched most of it by now, I still think that it is an awesome show. Yes, the background work was kind of sad, but you have to remember that, in the books, we were meant to focus on the beauty of the characters, not their surroundings. Sunako is a different kind of character, although there are times you’d like to kick her to get her to see that she is indeed a beautiful person…But deep-seated hurt will linger on. The books are much better than the show, but the show has it’s own redeeming qualities.

  28. 28 Risa Apr 18th, 2007 at 1:02 pm

This is my favorite anime series, I dont understand how come people dont like this, whats not to like? It is a really good series its humorous and very cute. Once I read the manga I was addicted, Im still reading them too. As the for the anime I like it alot, I just wish it was more detailed like the manga

  29. 29 Threads_Of_Fate Apr 23rd, 2007 at 8:55 am

I’am not done reading the manga(Im only on volume 7) But my friend is letting me borrow the volumes one by one.
I love the manga. But from what Ive seen from screen shots of the anime I’m kinda dissapointed. Im glad I heard the story line is very similar. But the drawings….. Especially Yuki. I know he was supposed to look kinda girly, but the way he is in the anime?!?!?! A little over kill. I reconize the “Original” author of wallflower is to busy to draw for the anime. But going from a change like that does dissapoint me. I will still watch it however being the Wallflower fan that I’am. But like I said the drawings are what are dissapointing me most…. I wasnt expecting kyoheis hair THAT blond XD. Or their necks that long. Or for them to be that muscle built.

In the manga you notice Kyohei’s upper arm is really thin. But in one of the screen shots above it shows his arm bigger…. Its very different drawings style. I thought the landlady and Noi-chan would have blond hair. I guess manga isnt colored for a reason XD.
But the storyline, and especially the manga I give thumbs up for :D

  30. 30 Mukin Apr 23rd, 2007 at 8:57 am

This is my most favorite manga of all time. I have every volume (except 8, dang book stores) available in the US.
I think I’ve already read it around the time I first came out, well more like skipped through it. I dunno, I had a weird ‘feeling’ to it. Well, anyways after some time later I decided to go back to it, and brought a copy of my own. For whatever reason, I took the latest volume out there. Number 6. I wasn’t crazy about it just yet, but gradually brought more, including the first volume I had already seen. The character chemistry (especially Kyohei and Sunako) and comedy made me fall in love with it. And the art is goreous too. ( I don’t like the changes she made later on) Sure there isn’t a deep storyline, and at some points things get pointless and you feel as if Sunako is going back and forth, but what holds it together is the characters and the moments that make me want to giggle. I do predict that Sunako will eventually grow into herself, and I’m looking forward to reading much more.

  31. 31 Mira May 5th, 2007 at 8:14 pm

The Manga in my opinion ROCKS! It’s a bit shojo, but I know guys who really like it. I brought it after I realize it’s a pretty comical manga. It take more of a really life approach to saying rejection & heart break happens, & though it might hurt it is best for one to get over it; then find real love for ones self. However that’s not at all why it rocks, it‘s because Sunako kicks butt. And without knowing Sunako is a person who is kind, cool, strong, caring, & beautiful. But all in all it’s fun to watch Sunako & Kyouhei fight, love, & goof off in the Manga. I LOVE it, it’s funny. The Anime is a little different it lacks the charm of the manga, is less detailed, a little bland, & sometimes a little confusing. All things aside it’s a good once in a while anime series, that has the same addictive spirit as the manga to all true anime obsesses (note: Not that ppl who don’t like this series aren’t true anime fans.

  32. 32 OuranxWallflower May 14th, 2007 at 5:58 am

um…this anime is really nice but if you’re gonna compare it with Ouran high…It is obviously no match!Sorry! ouran high has handsome bishies there! and I mean really deadlly gorgeous but no offense, the guys in the yamato nadeshiko shichi henge is not that good looking at all, but they HAVe to be good looking since their roles are as bishounen in this anime….anyways, I just find them cute when in chibi forms or when affraid of Sunako!!!This anime has nosebleeds and Ouran has MOE! isn’t this great?! we have 2 great anime!!! we shouldn’t compare it(though I did it) coz they’re both great!

  33. 33 Adel May 16th, 2007 at 7:07 am

Well, in regards to the OP, you’ve got your wish for them to do their own scenes for it. But I’m not too sure I like it now. I mean, WHY ARE THEY ALL NAKED?!?

I wouldn’t call this my favorite anime - by far - but it’s definitely got it’s moments. When I first read the plot I immediately though “How cliche” and expected it for Sunako to turn into a ‘lady’ within the first 2 episodes or so; but I was rather surprised to see that that was NOT the case.

I AM, however, rather annoyed with the many filler-like episodes. In fact, I think about 1/3 of the episodes have little -or nothing at ALL- to do with Sunako becoming a lady! It’s rather frustrating.

  34. 34 yo! May 26th, 2007 at 8:47 pm

You should have read the manga first before watching the anime. Most anime that are based on manga usually don’t do the original story any justice. Even if it’s directed by a great director.

Also, this came out before Ouran. 3 years before Ouran. Besides, Ouran is more of a parody of bishounen stereotypes.

If you don’t like manga more than anime (or haven’t discovered its beauty), then you won’t be able to appreciate the drawing style. They adapted the manga’s drawing style which doesn’t do well for the anime version.

I don’t usually like these kinds of anime, but I coudn’t stop watching this one for some reason. Its really good in its own way, I like how it manages to balance humor with occasional seriousness. I recommend the manga for those of you who are watching the anime. The art is amazing, its alot better than in the anime and the guys are really hot(they don’t look like girls for one thing)
And Melissa, stoptazmo has up to volume 14, you need to have an account though (it free)

This anime/manga rocks! I love the anime but I havent seen the last episode yet. I wish it were longer! I want to see more!
My friend showed me two books of these and I really liked it! I’ve only read three books and they arent even in order! I really love this and I hope I’ll be able to read the manga!
I love Kyouhei and Sunako together. They’re so perfect for each other! There are so many Kyouhei and Sunako moments! I love them together!

On a bright note: I never picked up or gave “Wallflower”, aka “Perfect Girl Evolution” much attention since its first release. However, I just recently picked it up (boredom, what can I do?).

I shall say this: PGE has got to be one of the most amusing horror/slight romance anime/manga I’ve ever read. The art irritates me in the fact that the main four males look so girl-ish I can’t bring myself to like them like I usually do for most bishounen, but PGE really emphasizes them–so I suppose they’re more “beautiful” than “sexy/handsome”.

Now, for the most part, it amuses me about the whole issue with fangirls. Nosebleeds? Constantly? It’s starting to become old and actually more annoying than anything. I don’t see much plot to this either, as the main point is to turn Sunako into a “lady”. I also think its ridiculous for a girl to be that upset over simple words, but then, in real life some girls are just that sensitive.

From the boys point of view, I feel sorry for Sunako in the fact that they are using her so they can have free rent. She doesn’t seem to mind much, though, as the manga/anime progresses. Overall, the anime/manga is good moreso for entertainment and something I see as brightening your day after a long, tough one (it certainly brought smiles to my face for a good couple of hours.)

While I don’t quite like the art or the story as much as I probably should, I enjoy it in the fact that it easily catches the attention of someone once you really start looking into it. The humor can keep you going for ages! The only other issue I see is that Sunako always seems to be “chibified”. I guess it’s to show those rare moments when she’s “lady-fied” but even then it doesn’t make much sense to me except to add more humor.

For the romance side of it, it’s the typical thing you see when mostly associated with school-based anime/manga, other than the fact it surrounds five housemates.

    Character Comments:
Kyohei–tough guy, but really a huge 360 degree turn-around when it comes to money. He’s so weird and unique; I’ve never seen a tough guy suddenly turn around and cry and start “kissing” people and showing such “affection”. Well, I guess that’s what makes him unique. You don’t see a lot of characters like him.
Yuki–Aw, I feel for him… sorta. A guy who looks so much like a girl that not even the anime can do him little justice. He’s a softie and certainly one those guys who can pull off the “cute” charm. Kind of one of those guys who have deeper meaning, I guess.
Naketaga–Uuuuuh. Typical popular guy, calm, not even emo. He is the one who gets the only other main female in the story, and neither of the two really show up much to have me put background on them. He’s the most mysterious.
Ranmaru–Playboy through and through. You see a lot of characters like him, it’s almost kind of boring when I look at him. He shows his character almost as the epitome of playboys, but all I can say for him is that he’s more amusement than anything else.
Sunako–ah, finally, the heroine. I’ve already made some general comments, but otherwise she’s an interesting main character. The only thing about her is her creepy obsession after being upset from the guy she had a crush on. You’d think the girl would just move on… but there’s no indication of her having other friends to help her see differently, so perhaps there’s reason she ends up the way she is.

    …And I’ll end my comment/rant, etc. Sorry it’s so long. XD;;

for those who said that this manga sucks..plz read it more.. u cannot comment on something just by reading only one volume/chapter..for me this manga is the best manga i evr read.. the plot become more interesting n funny..

  47. 47 dae Dec 16th, 2007 at 2:57 pm

I really like this, I think its fun to have some of your daydreams put together in a story. When I started to read the first 4books I got hooked to it. It’s really fun to read. Let see, I’ve read on those other comments who are against it. I just hope they realize manga is suppose to entertain you. I guess am too easy to please. I don’t care, I have finished reading the last edition my friend could get a hand on (yep, I’m one lucky hag)I think’s its chapter 15… and i hope it never stop coming until chapter 30 the way it goes on now, i like it like as much as i like BLEACH yes fruitbasket too and SAIYUKI… They don’t come in the same artistic language but the author i give credit for some humour in this manga it leaves no heavy feeling after you read it. I also like the animated feature.

If your looking for intellectual stuff then don’t do fiction dear.

I love this anime. I loved the fact that they took a typical storyline and completely twisted it so it appeared to be something entirely original. I love Sunako’s character aswell. At first, I was seriously freaked by her character due to being used to the typical ditzy naive anime girls that take main character heroine positions but Sunako’s character was refreshing. However i felt she could have been given a deeper history to see if there were more reasons behind her behavioud.

Like most peole it also took me a while to get used to the lips on the guys but after a while it seemed normal and even made more sense as why dont anime have lips? The guys in the anime did have rather typical characters i.e. Kyouhei was the damaged one, Takenaga was pretty average calm guy, Ranmaru the playboy and Yuki the cute almost loli shota one. Yuki’s character grew on me as the anime went on mainly through sympathy and amusement that all the guys seemed to think he was a girl and tried it on lol. I felt Takenaga could have been more interesting a character however. But overall they were quite funny as a team.

Some little things that bugged me would have to be the sheer amount of chibi which for me didn’t really add humour to situations. And also the nosebleeds which got old pretty fast. One more thing I would have liked was more relationship development between Sunako and some of the other guys other than Kyouhei.

Other than that the anime had some absolutely hilarious moments and a fresh take on the storyline. (i.e. Sunako’s problem could not be recovered just by changing her appearance.)

    Sorry its so long!
