Bokura ga Ita is an anime that’s been compared to Honey & Clover in style. With this information, I had deemed it a must watch! But can any anime really stand up to the awesomeness that is Hachikuro?
Takahashi Nanami wants to start off high school by making a lot of friends. Her first target? Nagato Yuki Yamamoto Yuri. Next, she makes friends with some ugly chicks. One of the ugly chicks asks Nanami to elect her for student council. Yet she’s so forgettable that Nanami instantly forgets her name. She asks the nearby hot dude and she gives her a name. Too bad it’s the wrong one. Pwned!
Bokura ga Ita seems to deal with the relationships of four high school students. Their exact relations are not quite known at this point, but it seems that Nanami likes Yano, and Yano had been in a relationship with Yuri’s sister. That’s before she was murdered by Yano killed in a car accident.
There’s also Takeuchi Masafumi, friend of Yano. I dunno if he’s there to be another love interest for Nanami/Yuri, or just an exposition character.
So either this anime could be interesting (Yano killed his ex-girlfriend and he might kill Nanami!) or less interesting (Yano is just emo because his ex-girlfriend died). It all depends on how the characters relate to each other and how they decide to advance the plot.
Other people were complaining about the animation, but I really like the simplicity of it. Nanami is way too cute with that side ponytail. I wonder if her hair will change twice every episode…
The character designs are fairly dull. Like I mentioned before, Yuri = Yuki Nagato, which isn’t a bad thing. I wonder why they made Nanami’s friends so horrendously ugly…
The OP isn’t too bad. The singer kinda reminds me of YUKI, except not as good. Her voice gets a little weird here and there, but she’s still pretty good. The ED is integrated into the anime with voiceovers and stuff, so no ED for you.

It still has yet to be seen whether Bokura ga Ita will be an interesting anime. So far, the story is prime for plot twists and intrigue! Hopefully it doesn’t end up being just another generic shoujo anime.
The animation is great and the seamless transition to chibi and back works perfectly. Though I cannot watch sensitive romance, this seems to break the barrier for me.
Ah, jeez. Why cant this be subbed already? I’ve already read some of the manga so I know what happens, but come on, this is killing me.

While I’m interested in this show, I want to know why Binbou Shimai Monogatari hasn’t been subbed yet.
I`ve been waiting for this anime long time.. The graphic is like Parfait Tic and is just so cute. The subject is nothing intersing it, but as it was said, the simplicity of it makes it different. And i really like Nana and Yano. They look sweet.
I`d just like to read the manga too…
This anime is VERY interesting. I love it!
But there’s a bit of mature content here and there, intended for 12 , unless you’re mature enough to handle it.

this was probably the most dramatic, honest, and realistic anime i’ve ever watched. if you’re a person that hopes for a happy ending, well this isn’t for you. it’s pretty sad and cute in a way. it really shows how relationships can be. i can’t wait to by this on dvd. but yea .. 5 thumbs up!
