Genshiken 2 Turns Out To Be Kujibiki Unbalance Anime…

Kujian.jpg

Following the news of the Genshiken manga ending, it seems that the highly anticipated second season of the Genshiken anime is actually Kujibiki Unbalance.

ANN Reports:

While initial reports from Comiket were that there would be a second season of Genshiken, Moonphase now reports that the project is actually a new, independant Kujibiki Unbalance TV series and a serialised manga.

That’s too bad, because I was really looking forward to a second season of the Genshiken anime. I have a feeling fans would rather have Genshiken 2 then Kujian. While I thought the OVAs were kinda interesting in that anime within an anime sorta way, I dunno if it could stand on its own… I do remember it having a pretty catchy theme song, though.

I’m also not sure if this means there will definitely be no Genshiken 2, or if it’ll happen in the future…

😮 I’m shocked, and little annoyed about this, since I’m one of those who prefers drama-mode Genshiken to the still great early style. Still, I’ve also wanted to a see a true Kujibiki anime, and if a spin-off is being produced, surely Genshiken is successful enough be made into a second series itself.

I am pleased about this. Really. Genshiken is something that does NOT need to be animicised. I feel the same when watching it and reading it.

Kujian, however, judging from the OVA, was so good that it deserves its own season.

I’m angry. This crushed me. I didn’t even enjoy Kujian that much, but I’m willing to give it a try. But I really hope the no season 2 thing is just lies. dirty lies.

This may be a controvertial opinion, but I would have preferred both. Guess you can’t have everything though.

And Visual Culture Fades to Black…

That was one heck of a ride. Genshiken is a treat right from the opening notes of the OP to the episode preview at the end of each episode. Usually I skip the OPs and EDs of anime just so I could get to the 'juicy bits' faster and I know…

Genshiken was wicked funny and I loved it. I agree with the anime fans who think that Genshiken is good. I haven’t finished watching the entire season yet because I am lazy. I did however watch all 3 of the Kujibiki Unbalanced episodes and I was like “THIS STUFF IS FRICKEN AWESOME!!!” The way they skipped the entire middle and the ending made me dying to see more. Once it comes out I am going to buy it.

Hmmmm, I heard that both will be realease independantly. What i think would be nifty would be if they would realease one after the other. Example, First ep is Genshiken, Second is Kujian and so on and so forth. That way everyone gets what they want. How ever that very rarely happens. LONG LIVE GENSHIKEN..Kujian, your fine too.

I am very distraught by this. Kujian is boring in my opinion. The plot is so typical and cookie-cutter, because it’s supposed to be a knockoff of every anime using the cheap plotlines and character stereotypes. Why make a full out anime of it to begin with? the clips at the end and during the Genshiken anime were good enough. The character designs for Kujian look good and all but… snore. Oh well.
