I don't think Day by Day's a boring song. It's sounds a lil' bit jazzy, and that's why i love it.

I had a friend, who, after listening to 10 seconds from the first track on this CD, said: damn, I'd like to fuck that.

Sexual tendencies aside, I also love Round Table and Nino. It's not so much the 'original' songs... more like the catchy choruses keep me listening to their stuff. I like Book End Bossa a lot, though... it doesn't feel like a filler to me, because it's nice to hear something that doesn't have its roots in JPop, especially from Round Table and Nino.

Oh, when it comes to J-Pop, Eri Nobuchika is my all-time favorite. Nobody ever came close IMO.

I agree with Logozo... Message is one of the best songs I've ever heard. The melody is catchy and the band plays super-tight. I've never been enough a fan of Round Table feat. Nino to buy an album (although $10.99 for April almost tempts me enough). In my opinion, they have a few absolutely stellar songs (Beautiful and Message are both amazing), but overall their CDs haven't quite appealed to me enough to get my money.

I was delighted to find "Message" finally available on iTunes Japan today (as part of Round Table feat. Nino's new album "Nino"), so I finally bought it. I still don't own "Beautiful" though... and their "April" album isn't on iTunes at all as of right now.

Holy Halo! Someone ELSE who likes ROUND TABLE !?! I mean, past the Chobits opening... Great to see someone else who enjoys their funky kind of euro-disco...

They've been compared to Stereolab a bit (when they do funky stuff, which I think they excel at). But when they wander in the J-pop pseudo R&B or power ballad, I'm not so sure they're so good (at least they loose what I think make the "Round Table sound").

I recommend a lot the single to Gunbuster 2: "Groovin' Magic" which has a similar groove between "Let Me Be With You" and "April") as well as the rarely mentionned gem "Message" (a B side from their single "Sunny Side Hill" which is pretty good in itself...)
